I was the last one in our group (of 6) to pay a tab. Bartender charged me for someone in our group who had already left; said that person hadn't paid so made me pay for it. He asked me if this person had already left, I said yes so he (without asking) just put the persons drink on my tab. What I also don't understand, probably because I always give my card or pay cash up front is that; the bar gave the guy a drink (he ordered it at the bar along with the rest of the group), and didn't require payment of any kind upfront...So not only did the bartenders not only give the guy a drink without at least a card - they forced his bill on my card. Is a single drink really worth that much to them that they would force another to pay for it?

Great bar, great rooftop, great service, really good cocktails! Perfect place to hang out with friends, their drinks menu is high quality and at a really good price (I had the Random Walk Theory and I recommend it!). I had a wonderful night with my friends, thanks again!

Rooftop is a hard atmosphere to beat. The cocktail selection up there is solid but the abbreviated menu is a let down. Great selection or great rooftop seat, unfortunately not both.

Good service, nice food, but wine list could be improved. I’ve visited twice, both for business dinners, and we enjoyed both times. I love their cheese plate appetizers and recommend the salmon.

It's a shame what they did to this place. It used to be a nice and cozy place to grab some drinks and now it's sterile, expensive, poor selection of drinks and terrible atmosphere.

I visit this lovely place many times a year! This is my favorite place to dine. I go to this spot at least once a month. The food is fantastic, the crew is friendly and the rates are affordable. I enjoy eating in this spot for a decent dinner.

Really bad experience! Had a group dinner there and they forgot my main course, so I had to ask the waitress... after a while she was back saying that it will be ready in a few minutes. I asked to talk to the manager and he came to serve me, but by the time he came half of the table had finished their meal. I complain about it and his reply was “your friends eat too fast” No comment on his behavior. The waitress tried to turn it around and she was really nice with me, but the manager is a disaster.

First of all... Guillermo is a great GM a true gentleman...then Ben is also on par excellence , kind and lovely....then we had Steven our server, well he broke the mold👏👏👏I had the roasted chicken oh man! Best I have EVER had truly....moist, tasty, mushrooms were delicious. Really can't say enough..My husband had filet mignon cooked to perfection! Dessert was superb...cheesecake mousse...But really when it comes down to it...they are the package!!! Great staff, great food, great ambiance, great drinks.... loved this place and will be back for sure😋😋😋😋Let's not forget THE GREAT KITCHEN!!!

Poke was VERY salty. Burger -- also way too salty.

Great friendly service without a doubt. The burger was overcooked although I requested medium. I did inform the waitress & manager. Hopefully things pan out next time.

We went early. Had great service. Asparagus fries, Caesar salad, asparagus soup, New York steak. Everything was just wonderful.

Menlo Park is evolving. It’s hard not to given the famous resident businesses but it’s slow going at a neighborhood level. The BBC (I’m sure they knew what they were doing when the chose the name) is a good example of that evolution. Friendly service, ambitious cocktails and solid menu for traditionalists and adventurers. It was quiet the night we went which could have felt odd given the high ceilings and sense of space but the friendly staff made it the reverse - warm, chatty and a very pleasant meal and evening.

Great ambiance, super clean and professional looking on the inside! Happy hour is from 3-6pm daily and the drinks are about $2 less than the normal prices. Oysters were a great deal and tasted amazing. Hamachi crudo was also a top choice. The seafood appetizer was a bit spicy if you can handle!

Lunch on Thursday. Elegant decor and friendly service. Not busy. Hamachi crudo was ok - a bit too much wasabi cream and pickled vegies overwhelmed fish. Orecchiette was delicious w/truffle cream and mushrooms. Bread crumbs was best part. Pasta was a bit tough.

They have nice selection of cocktails. Staffs were nice and very attentive. Good service too and clean place.

Just the better cocktail bar place in the Bay Area (with a Rooftop). I have been living in Singapore and in a lot of countries in south east Asia, I'm very exigent and I'm from France. I've been having Negronis in every single place where I've lived and this one is just the BEST I ever had! It's not on the menu but ask for "Chad's Negroni" you will be surprised by a classical and re-visited Californian style Negroni (Amazing Grape's Gin and Antica Formula Vermouth). It was a great birthday's drink on the rooftop! Thanks a lot, I strongly recommend!

Went to a conference on investing presented by Adela Mazzon and her boss at Alain Pinel Realty. The conference was excellent and so was the food. I'm glad I went.

So excited to have a new restaurant in town, but to my dismay we were sadly disappointed on Christmas Eve. The service was great but however from the tepid appetizers to the brick they called a mouton cake a complete disaster....! Maybe they weren't quite ready to open in my opinion they shouldn't have opened, the bathrooms remained incomplete the chef seemed to be lacking some abilities in the kitchen that they were aware of and yet we still received no form of true compensation????Just maybe hopefully it was a fluke and they improve!!!!

Here's the deal with brunch at the British Banking Club: it's fantastic! The food is great. The menu has more options than your standard fancy brunch but not so overwhelming as a Hobee's. The cocktail menu and beer & wine options are also fabulous. The staff is friendly. The space beautiful inside with a great patio option as well.The best part of all is that there is never, ever a line. In fact it's empty most Saturdays and Sundays that we come here. There'll be a line out the door next door and no one at BBC, despite better food, drinks, atmosphere, patio space, and service. Really the only reason that I'm telling folks about the gem that is BBC's brunch is because I want to make sure that they have enough customers to keep it going. Even if they had a line, they're still one of the best brunches in all of the peninsula and south bay.

This is such a great place after the remodel a few years ago. Make sure to check out the roof top bar during the warmer months.

The food was tasty, the service good, a little clumsy (new staff, I think), however, the $ value for the portion size was disappointing.I ordered the entrée ravioli, which only had 4-5 pieces and wasn't nearly enough, and I am not a big eater. This was the consensus across the table (6 of us dining together).I'd go back for pre-dinner cocktails, but not to dine.

I had eggs benedict with salmon for lunch. Got food poisoning.

Disappointing. Special soup was good, but lobster bisque didn't have any identifiable lobster. Service was sloppy--went to the trouble of serving soup table-side but then sloshed over garnish. Worse, both entrees were VERY oversalted. We couldn't finish them. Also, over priced. Many other better options in the neighborhood.

Good food

Just found this gem in Menlo Park. Roof top bar, robust wine room, plenty of seating and excellent service. Make sure you ask for the Delinquent Account cocktail which is a fantastic alternative to an Old fashion. Spread the word, this place is perfect.

Always top-notch service with delicious food and quality cocktails.The Spanish Octopus appetizer is divine....very tender/flavorful with artichoke hearts, chorizo, and potatoes. Spicy, yet smooth, the Coconut Curry Lobster Bisque is excellent too. Dessert menu is decadent ! The downstairs bar seating offers two screens for viewing sports, with plenty of tables and a corner booth for a larger group. Another choice is outside seating. The upstairs rooftop patio is always fun, offers bar seating as well as tables. Heaters are also provided for these cooler Fall nights. The entire building has been restored, which gives a unique atmosphere. A must try is their Sunday Brunch!
